LDAP Schema

Standardized directory services architecture for multimedia communications based on the use of the commObject schema. This schema is currently described by ITU-T Draft H.350 "Directory Services Architecture for Videconferencing".

Video Middleware Cookbook

Produce a 'cookbook' that describes how to implement directories that are commObject compliant. Components include discussion, implementation considerations, LDIF files, and sample management scripts. Work directly with ViDeNet to migrate zones to use the new tools.

Directory-Enabled Gatekeeper

Enable an h.323 gatekeeper to manage endpoints dynamically via commObject. Include attributes for global searching. A commObject directory server can be configured to utilize external enterprise directory servers.

Secure SIP System

Create an authenticated SIP system including user agent, proxy and redirect server based on VidMid authentication architectures. Deliverables will include the components themselves. SIP proxy at Claremont Graduate University is proxy.cgu.edu.

Secure H.323 Endpoint

Create an authenticated h.323 endpoint based on VidMid authentication architectures. Deliverables will include the endpoint, documentation an source code for authentication-related elements.

Video White Pages

An international directory of video and voice over IP users will be made available based on the commObject model. This directory will allow for searching multiple institutional directories to discover and connect to any user.
